Alarm clock screaming bare feet hit the floor
It’s off to the races everybody out the door
I’m feeling like I’m falling behind, it’s a crazy life
Ninety miles an hour going fast as I can
Trying to push a little harder trying to get the upper hand
So much to do in so little time, it’s a crazy life
It’s ready, set, go it’s another wild day
When the stress is on the rise in my heart I feel You say just

Breathe, just breathe
Come and rest at My feet
And be, just be
Chaos calls but all you really need
Is to just breathe

Third cup of joe just to get me through the day
Wanna make the most of time but I feel it slip away
I wonder if there’s something more to this crazy life
I’m busy, busy, busy, and it’s no surprise to see
That I only have time for me, me, me
There’s gotta be something more to this crazy life
I’m hanging on tight to another wild day
When it starts to fall apart in my heart I hear You say just

Is to take it in fill your lungs
The peace of God that overcomes
Just breathe
Let your weary spirit rest
Lay down what’s good and find what’s best
Just breathe

I heard once that the only way to slow down time is to be all there, in every moment…and to stop hurrying from one thing to the next. The busy season of Christmas is upon us and, if you truly want a memorable one, then it might be time to take this one slow. Take in every memory and instead of iPhone pics, try a real camera and unplug from technology.

Every morning, before you make the first move, sit at His feet and empty yourself from yesterday and all of it’s worries. This day will have enough of it’s own and, with God, nothing is worrisome. Just worship instead. As His children, we are called to live differently. If chaos is the norm, then we should choose another way. Our children will not remember the things we didn’t choose to take them to. They will remember when we slowed down and spent time with them.

Oh, how I wish I could go back and make one more glitter picture with my oldest…or one more sock beanbag with my second…or one more sword game in the back yard with the third…or one more American Girl sleepover with the fourth. Cherish it…savor it all…and when the enemy tries to steal your joy by pushing you from one frenzy to the next, claim God’s peace! Remember His words:

Cast your burden on the LORD, and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
Psalm 55:22

Casting all your care on Him, because He cares about you.
1 Peter 5:7

Rest in Him…He is strong enough to take it all.

Let us pray: Dear Father, we thank You so much for this awesome time of thanksgiving. Spending time with family and friends and praising Your Name for all of this. Lord, sometimes this world is too much. The enemy comes to take our joy away but when we are Yours, he cannot. We claim Your peace today and we lay all of our cares at Your feet. When chaos comes crashing in, help us to come quick and release it all to You. We love You! In Jesus’ name, amen.

Worry versus Thankfulness

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.
Philippians 4:6 NLT

Do not be anxious or worried about anything,
but in everything [every circumstance and situation]
by prayer and petition with thanksgiving,
continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.
Amplified Version

* ~ ♥ ~ ✞ ~ ♥ ~ *

God does expect us to care about our lives (and about the lives of others). But when that caring becomes filled with anxiety and fear, it is counterproductive and wrong. Life presents us with many things to worry about—family, friends, relationships, jobs, finances…and on and on. There’s no end to this list if we let ourselves go there. However, God’s Word tells us todo somethingvery different about all those things. He tells usnotto worry, notto be anxious about anything. That’s a tall order, butit is possible. How? God says, “Pray.”

I urge, then, first of all,
that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving
be made for all people.
1 Timothy 2:1

These Scriptures in Philippians and 1 Timothy tell us to pray abouteverything-–every circumstance, every situation, every person in our life. We are to tell God about everything we need (and even the things we perceive we need.) Why? Because He cares about you (each of us.)

Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.
1 Peter 5:7

That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—
whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear.
Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?
Matthew 6:25

When we pray, our focus is more on God and His mercy, grace, and provision. The more we pray, the more our mind is filled with Him. It leaves less room for worry.

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You,
all whose thoughts are fixed on You!
Isaiah 26:3

How often do you start your prayers with “Thank You, God….”? I know I do pretty often. In spite of my needs at the moment, I have so much to thank God for that I can’t pray without saying, “Thank You.” He gave me the gift of salvation many, many years ago. God has protected my family and me over the years. He has seen me through many trials, and supplied for my needs. Because of His faithfulness in the past, I can trust Him to care for me now and in the future. Even as I write this, I am compelled to stop and say “Thank You, Lord!”

During this Thanksgiving season, make it a point to “thank Him for all He has done,” (Philippians 4:6) for all He is doing, and for all that He will be doing in your life. Then make it a way of life to thank Him daily. When caring starts to turn into worry…stop and pray with thanksgiving…reminding yourself how much He has done for you, and how much He cares for you. Prayer, petition, and thanksgiving will bring you closer to God and farther away from anxiety and worry. That’s what we all want, right?

* ~ ♥ ~ ✞ ~ ♥ ~ *

亲爱的上帝,作为人类我们面对这ngs to worry about almost daily. But You said, “Don’t!” Instead of worrying, You said, “Pray!” And pray “…about everything!” Lord, we need our hearts and our minds open to Your Holy Spirit to help us to pray without worry, and to pray with thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for, and when we take time to be thankful our trust level goes up, and worry is pushed back. That’s what we want, Lord. Thank You for caring for us even beyond our comprehension. May we grow in our trust that You will see us through the hard times. You have done and are doing so much for us, thank You, thank You! In Jesus’ Precious Name we pray, Amen.

Cast My Cares

When fear feels bigger than my faith
And struggles steal my breath away
When my back’s pressed up against the wall
With the weight of my worries stacked up tall
You’re strong enough to hold it all

I will cast my cares on You
You’re the anchor of my hope
The only one who’s in control
I will cast my cares on You
I’ll trade the troubles of this world
For Your peace inside my soul

This war’s not what I would’ve chosen
But You see the future no one knows yet
And there’s still good when I can’t
See the working of Your hands
You’re holding it all

I’m finding there’s freedom
When I lay it all on Your shoulders
Cast my cares I will
Cast my cares I will
Cast my cares on You

My word for this morning iscomfortAsI sit in my home, I can feel a crispness in the air. Fall is around the corner. I hear my husband and children sleeping. The dogs are beginning to stir. Soon lunch boxes will be packed, clothes will be ironed, to-do lists will grow, and life will return to its normal pace.

But for now, I focus on the wordcomfort.Today I will takecomfortin knowing that—

  • whatever I face when this song ends has already been handled
  • as my family goes to work and school that God has a hedge of protection around us
  • God has already worked out the many concerns running through my head
  • every situation we face has been worked out for our good and will only prove to be another example of God’s love for us
  • I am never walking alone

This morning, ladies, as you take each step, you can takecomfortin the knowledge that there is Someone we cancast our caresupon. Our Heavenly Father wants us to shed the worry from our lives and place it at the foot of the Cross. He is in control and He is our peace. Today, cast your cares.Takecomfortin the words of this song, and in these words.

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7

* ~ ♥ ~ ✞ ~ ♥ ~ *

Lord, today we want to make an intentional effort to cast our cares upon You. There is so much in life that we are not in control of; but You, Lord, You are in control of all. Thank You for taking our worry and anxiety from us. Thank You for being the place where we cast our cares. You replace worry with peace. You replace fear with love. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

When You Need Grace

Do you ever wonder where God is during all your comings and goings? Do you think that He is so into what He has planned for the world that He’s forgotten your daily life? You know that He wants to be with you more than anything else. He wants a relationship with you and to be included in your thoughts and plans, even the ones you think aren’t worth mentioning. I’m not saying that He doesn’t already know, He just loves to hear your voice when you talk with Him.

All relationships are give and take…and the one you have with God is no different. He gives and He takes. “What does He take?” you ask. He takes and bears all of your burdens. Psalm 68:19 says that He intends to take our burdens. He wants you to lay them all at His feet because He is able to carry it all, yours and mine. He may not take it all away but He will definitely carry you all the way through.

Praise be to God our Savior, Who daily bears our burdens.
Psalm 68:19

Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.
1 Peter 5:7 KJV

He takes our cares and worries and daily bears our burdens for us. So what does the Lord give?Mercy!我们可以交易困难时期,他的负担mercies. He gives us compassion. He gives us love. He gives us patience and understanding. He gives us His hand to hold onto, as a stronghold in place of our fleshly holds. He gives us a new day, a new morning to start again, and He does it every single day!

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23 NIV

So, it goes like this: We carry a backpack full of hard, difficult burdens. We add to it day in and day out. We fill it until one day we break and spill and we have lost all hope. We are in a dark place and we feel like God is not helping. Then He, in the form of the Holy Spirit, nudges us to let all of it go and trust Him with it. We, in turn, trade our burdens for His mercy.

I know that for far too long I went my own way. I let my strongholds completely control my life and I lost all of my ability to make choices. My flesh chose for me. I almost lost it all. But God! He was always there. Oh it didn’t happen overnight. It took me a long time to get to that hopeless place and it took a awhile to see the full hope. Slowly, the more that I relied on God and the more that I walked closely with Him, and the more I read His Word, I began to change and I laid it all at God’s feet and He gave me mercy and grace.

I got my “new mercies.” I got to start over. All because Jesus died to save us all from ourselves and God takes all our hard and bears it. And you know what? You can too!

* ~ ♥ ~ ✞ ~ ♥ ~ *

Let’s pray: Dear God, You are the Almighty God and You are awesome. Your love bears all things and You give us so much. You are able to do all things that we ask of You and so much more. Great is Thy faithfulness! Lord, we have all sinned and we have all carried our burdens for too long. Today, we lay them at Your feet. We ask that You take them from us. We cannot do this alone anymore. Give us Your mercy and grace, oh Lord. Give us a heart to serve You. And to love all Your children. You are our Refuge and we are so grateful. And, Lord, if there is anyone reading this today that needs Your grace today, help them to let their hurts go and to trust You today. Let them know there is hope in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

All I Need Is You

Left my fear by the side of the road
Hear You speak, won’t let go
Fall to my knees, as I lift my hands to pray
Got every reason to be here again
Father’s love that draws me in
And all my eyes wanna see is a glimpse of You

All I need is You
All I need is You, Lord, is You, Lord
All I need is You
All I need is You, Lord, is You, Lord

One more day, and it’s not the same
Your Spirit calls my heart to sing
Drawn to the voice of my Savior once again
Where would my soul be without Your Son
Gave His life to save the earth
Rest in the thought that You’re watching over me

All I need is You
All I need is You, Lord, is You, Lord
All I need is You
All I need is You, Lord, is You, Lord
All I need is You

You hold the universe
You hold everyone on earth
You hold the universe
You hold, You hold

Do you need to leave your fears by the side of the road and lift up your hands and start again? I know there are times when I do…. It’s the Father’s love that draws us back in to the One who loves us the very most. God calls us to turn to Him and cast all of our cares on Him.

…casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7 ESV

God calls to our spirits to draw us back to Him. He puts the yearning and need for Him in each and everyone of us. When we lose our closeness with Him, we are not satisfied until we turn back to Him once again…. “Drawn to the voice of our Savior once again….”

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Where would we be without the gift of God’s Son Who gave His life for each of us?

“This is why Jesus came and why He died, to become the ultimate and final sacrifice, the perfect (without blemish) sacrifice for our sins (Colossians 1:22; 1 Peter 1:19). Through Him, the promise of life eternal with God becomes effective through faith to those who believe in Jesus.

So that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ,
might be given to those who believe.
Galatians 3:22

These two words, faithandbelieving, are critical to our salvation. It is through our believing in the shed blood of Christ for our sins that we receive eternal life. ‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast’ (Ephesians 2:8–9).”

I love the visual this song describes of resting in the thought that God is watching over us.

The LORD Himself watches over you!
The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade.
Psalm 121:5 NLT

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of salvation and for mercies that are new for each day. All we have to do is turn back to You as Your Spirit calls out to our hearts. May we rest in You knowing and believing that You are watching over us…in Jesus’ name!! Amen!!

CHRISTLife — Week Eight

cl part three banner

Here we are, friends, coming down the homestretch! This is week 8—the final week of our CHRISTLife study! Y’know perhaps ‘homestretch’ is not the right word. Truly this is not the destination but rather the launching pad to living our lives with the mindset ‘I AM who God says I am!’

重生的和在基督里获得了新的身份,我们have total sufficiency in Him (2 Corinthians 3:5). And this week, Mrs. Myers puts before us that “…righteous, holy living is consistent with the persons we are now. It isn’t something foreign to us that we have to produce out of duty or even gratefulness. Rather, as we choose to follow Christ, we can expect to live a holy life because of who Christ is, what He has done, and what He has made us through our new birth.”

We ARE who God says we are…who Christ has enabled us to be! Some of these images we will consider this week are:

  • Nurtured

Casting the whole of your care…on Him, for He cares for you
affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
1 Peter 5:7

  • Satisfied

I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
Psalm 63:5

  • Secure

He drew me up from the desolate pit, out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.
Psalm 40:2

  • Competent

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10

  • Bold

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13

  • Confident

And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying,
This is the way; walk in it,
when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.
Isaiah 30:21

  • Purposeful

…for it is God who is at work in you,
both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
Philippians 2:13

May I encourage each of you, friends, to believe and take hold of these Truthful images that we are looking at each day this week. They are who you are (me, too!) because of the indwelling of Christ!

In this song,I Lift My Life Up, the lyrics go “When I hear You calling out…I follow now wherever the road may go.” We, too, can make this commitment knowing that God has already enabled us!This is who we ARE!And, God has not left us alone to figure out what to do with these enablements. We have His Holy Spirit inside us helping us to remember that I AM who God says I am—nurtured, satisfied, secure, competent, bold, confident, and purposeful! All for His glory!

I lift my life, lift my life up
I give it all in surrender
I lift my heart, lift my heart up
You can have it forever
All my dreams, all my plans
Lord, I leave it in Your hands
I lift my life, lift my life up
Have Your way in me

The Watches Of The Night

~ Listen while you read, please! ~

I look towards the wintering trees to hush my fretful soul
As they rise to face the icy sky and hold fast beneath the snow
Their rings grow wide, their roots go deep that they might hold their height
And stand like valiant soldiers through the watches of the night

No human shoulder ever bears the weight of all the world
But hearts can sink beneath the ache of trouble’s sudden surge
Yet far beyond full knowing there’s a strong unsleeping Light
That reaches round to hold me through the watches of the night

I have cried upon the steps that seem too steep for me to climb
And I’ve prayed against a burden I did not want to be mine
But, here I am and this is where You’re calling me to fight
And You I will remember through the watches of the night
…You I will remember through the watches of the night

~ The Watches of the Night, Mrs. Krysten Getty / Getty Music ~

* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *

I venture to say that you, too, have had times of sleeplessness, leading you to prayerfulness and remembering ‘through the watches of the night.’ In each of our lives there are situations and circumstances that seem to be are a burden we do not want to bear.

Here’s the Truth, my friend: we are not to bear our burdens, our cares, our anxieties, our worries alone. Our heavenly Father loves you so much and wants to be the Bearer of your burden.

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you;
He will never permit the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22

Blessed be the Lord, Who bears our burdens and carries us day by day,
even the God Who is our salvation! Selah.
Psalm 68:19

He is

  • Jehovah-Jireh (He Who provides)
  • Jehovah-Shalom (He Who is our peace)
  • Jehovah-Rohi (the Shepherd of our souls)

Even to your old age I will be the same,
And even to your graying years I will bear you!
I have done it, and I will carry you;
And I will bear you and I will deliver you.
Isaiah 46:4

I love this promise from my God…it settles my heart each time. He has already done the bearing of any burden I could ever perceive! As Mrs. Getty writes in her poem, “There’s a strong unsleeping Light that reaches round to hold me through the watches of the night.” Almighty God will carry us throughout any wearisome, worrisome situation we are in. His promises are true and Amen!

So I encourage you (me, too!) to always remember God’s heart towards us when we are feeling overwhelmed and burdened. He is faithful to His promises, and He cares for you!

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God,
that He may exalt you at the proper time,
你所有的忧虑告诉他,cause He cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7

Hope For All

But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him,
on those whose hope is in His unfailing love,
to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.
We wait in hope for the Lord;
He is our help and our shield.
In Him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in His holy name.
May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in You.

Psalm 33:18-22

These verses are like a salve to soothe the hurt each of us have endured over time. We never feel like it will at that moment…but it does. One summer a friend of mine had a visit from her sister, brother-in-law and their three boys. It was a very sweet time of fellowship and new friendships were developed during the three week visit. It soon came time for them to return to their home and they were sorely missed.

By October, the middle boy became gravely ill. My friend left everything and went to be with her sister. Her nephew stayed in the hospital until the middle of November when, by God’s mercy, he succumbed to the disease. There was a webpage that was dedicated to having others offer prayer and support for this child and his family. People from all walks of life and from all over the world were praying for his recovery, but God knew better.

Through all of this my friend, whose faith had always seemed to be unshakable, began to question God’s. Why did He allow this to happen to her nephew, why didn’t He heal him, why are some healed and others die. What was different in his case? Did they not pray enough? Did they allow doubt to enter their hearts? Did they not ask the right church leaders to offer prayer? My heart hurt for my friend. I prayed for healing, but as they cut away the limbs of the child, I knew he might be better off in heaven where he could run and play with his dinosaurs.

1 Peter 5:7 says, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” We may never understand why God chooses to heal one over the other. But we have to trust that He knows infinitely better than we. Our hope in these situations is that we will see each other in heaven, with our bodies whole—not scarred or broken—but made whole. Sometimes all we can do is pray and listen.

* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *

Father, we love You and praise You. Give us the wisdom to know when to encourage, and when we just need to listen. There are questions we will never know the answer to until we see You in heaven. Help us to know when we need to question and when we just need to have a child-like trust that You are in control. Help us not to be angry with You, when things do not make sense in our limited human knowledge. You have a bigger plan that we cannot see. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Esther – Chapter 4:8-11

Here we are in Chapter Four of Esther, sisters, and today we are looking at verses 8-11. Wow – there areso many话题跳了出来,想要讨论!But I want to delve further into one that touches us all in some form or another – trials or testing. To say that Mordecai and Esther were facing trials is a bit of an understatement, wouldn’t you say? And yet, while facing the same trial – extinction – they each had their own individual trial, as well; Mordecai was concerned for his people and their salvation, Esther was concerned for her own safety in honoring Mordecai’s request to approach the King.

Sisters, we’re going to have trials. Troubles. Rough patches. Dry seasons. Disappointments. Jesus tells us this several times throughout the Gospels, and Darlene reminds us of 1 Peter 4:12 – 13 (NIV). “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed.” Uh, wait a minute – did that scripture sayrejoice你参与基督的苦难?Yep. And so does this one, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything” (James 1:2-3 NIV). These verses in James say we will go through trials “of many kinds” – some will be severe, some not so much. We may be losing our keys or our patience. We may be having “one of those days” or wonder if we’ll even make it through the day. But God allows us to face trials because they “develop perseverance.” I saw perseverance defined as “steady persistence in a course of action, especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles or discouragement” ( So, if I can paraphrase, God allows us to face trials so that we can develop the ability to stay the course, finish the race – in spite of what difficulties, obstacles or discouragement will come our way (especially from our enemy, Satan).

I know, I know. I hear the protest rising from you right now. “How am I supposed torejoicein the trial I am going through now? You have NO IDEA what I am suffering.” You’re so right…I don’t.But God does.他承诺不离开你或丢弃哟u (Hebrews 13:5), so He will be with you through the whole thing. He also tells us that “…no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me…” (Isaiah 54:17 NIV). “Yes, yes,” I hear you protesting, “butjoy, Robin?JOY???” Yes, sisters, joy. Because unlike happiness, which can come and go with our moods, joy is the deeper sense of understanding and well-being that comes from accepting that God is in complete control of your life and, as such, will always work on your behalf, for your good, because He promised (Romans 8:28).

Trials are not easy, sisters. And no one said you had to be happy to experience them. But they do give you the chance to get closer to God. Psalm 34:18 (NIV) says “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” When you find yourself in a hard place or season—cry out to God! He hears you. He LOVES you. He wants to help you. He wants to deliver you! He wants to fill all the voids in your life. He encourages you to “cast ALL your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).

我听说测试/试验描述了美丽in this way: “Our lives are like gold – but in its unrefined state. The goldsmith heats up the metal – so hot that it is liquefied – and then begins to skim the impurities and waste from the surface. This happens not once, but MANY times. Each time the goldsmith skims the impurities and waste from the surface. Do you know when it’s done? When the goldsmith can see his face mirrored in the surface of the gold.” God does the same with our lives. The rough times, hard times, difficult seasons, times of trial and suffering are like the heat used to liquefy the metal that is our character. If we allow God to ‘heat up’ our character, he will skim the impurities and the waste that particular challenge brings out of us. With each trial we become more like Him (remember our first scripture, 1 Peter 4:12-13?) until one day God seesHisface mirrored inourlives, and His glory is revealed – in us!

Let’s pray:

Dear God, I am asking You to help me through the trials I am experiencing in my life. There are times that I just don’t know what to do, and I wonder how I’m going to get through this. Thank You, Lord, that I can pour my heart out to You and trust that not only CAN You help me, but You WILL help me! Thank You for holding me in the palm of Your hand. If there are areas that I haven’t surrendered to Your care, please help me give them to You. Help me to cast ALL my anxieties on You! Thank You, Lord, for Your protection and provision. Help me to come through this fire looking more like You every day. In the name of Your Son I pray.

Broken Hearts

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;
and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Psalm 34:18

When your heart is broken, you have a debate before you…. Should you leave the pieces of your heart there and start overorshould you pick up the pieces and mend them together again. Actually, God is theonlyPotter mentioned in the Word. He is theonlyone that can take our spiritual lives, break them, and put them all back together again. But what about natural things, like our feelings being hurt, or close relationships going sour? Should we try to mend those things and put them back together? Well, this is where we as believers sometimes miss the mark.

We want to put things back together all the time and make things work, even when it may not be God’s will for us to do so. That is why He told us to “cast our cares upon Him” (1 Peter 5:7) and “seek ye first the Kingdom and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33). His Word is telling us that, when we are broken by natural things and hurt in the flesh, we should cast these things to the feet of Jesus so that we can find out His will for it. No matter how much it hurts, you must give it to God. Of course, hurting is no fun and being hurt by people that are close to you is even more painful; but God sees all and knows all and, if you take the time to give it to Him, He can ease the pain.

God never told us to mend/heal our hurt hearts (like many popular preachers are saying today—”claim it”). Perhaps we go to these spiritual rallies feeling like we can fix it all because the speaker said some general stuff that happens everywhere, and then you are charged a financial fee before it will happen! We must remember that our cares, our concerns, our hurts, should be given to God so that HE can sort it out and properly “direct our path” (Proverbs 3:6). Don’t listen to a generalized, motivational message about your personal turmoil or trial. Only God knows the purpose, the plan, and the outcome of it.Seek HIMfirstand you will find the answers and the direction to proceed. Endure the pain…trust in Him…and know that it will stop hurting. Remember:

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;
Psalm 34:18

The thing we run from is the thing that draws God…troubles are inevitable in life…the joy is that God wants to deliver us from them all!

Consider these Scriptures: Psalms 51:17, Proverbs 3:5 and 6, Hebrews 4:15.

Lord, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy on us. We give You all the glory and honor for You are the great I AM. You are Omnipresent—present everywhere; Omniscient—all knowing; and Omnipotent—all powerful! Be close to us, Lord, and direct our path to the glory of Your name. Amen.
